Langkawi Island @ 2

Day 2 started of with hangover. Porridge to the rescue and tons of warm water keep us hydrated. It was so bad that we only manage to leave hotel bed in the afternoon! Aiks... half day gone. Haha! First stop was at the famous tomb of the legend Mahsuri.

Makam Mahsuri : The lady was said to be accused of adultery and was sentenced to death in a tragic way. It was believed that her blood was white when it flow out from her body to prove her words of innocent. I came here few years back and got so disappointed this time around. Nothing much to see and the place is lack of maintenance. Its dirty and kinda eerie...... Wonder what happen to all those performance and cultural arts display.

Langkawi Lookout Point : I've never been or seen this place before. Most probably its one of the newer attraction available here. We just saw the sign board along the road and decided to take a look. Ahh~ Just few minutes of stairs climbing, we got up to this nice garden with not-to-say-very-breathtaking-but-it-was-quite-ok view. Gentle reminder, bring mosquito repellant if you think your blood is sweet! Haha!

Mangoes : According to the TripAdvisor, this is the best place for western in Langkawi. After getting lost for a short while and trying to figure out where this restaurant was located, we're dying to have our dinner. This is a place where you could actually dine while gazing at the beautiful sunset by the beach but thanks to the weather, no sunset for us. Still highly recommended to come here for the food because its simply amazing! No matter how full our tummy, we can't stop eating and finished every bits of it. And still couldn't resist having their dessert. Gosh! All are yumms yummss yummmyy!

Here's what my lpz reviewed on Mangoes on TripAdvisor. I JUST SAW!!!

Wyan - "We went there hoping to see the sunset view we read in the reviews but unfortunately it has been raining for quite a number of days. Nevertheless we decided to give it a try and the food was amazing. The mashed potatoes were to die for and the fish & chips are just fantastic. The fish was soft and fresh, seems like it could melt in the mouth. The staff and owner were very friendly. The owner kept on insisting we try their dessert which was walnut pie but we couldnt stuff anymore into our bloated stomach but we gave in to her persistence. 4 of us shared the pie and indeed it was superb. Overall it was a great experience dining there besides the fact that it was not very noticeable and we had to ask for directions to get there and also the mosquitoes there have a lot of appetite. Do ask for insect repellents from the staff."

Last day at the island, we woke up pretty early to have buffet breakfast at our hotel. It's sad when the sun wasn't shining and rain started to pour heavily. We know our plans for the day will not work out nicely but nevertheless, trip must go on and we decided to have an impromptu journey! Let's just go along with the flow, weather and map! =)

Langkawi Cable Car : Due to the rain, cable car service are not available. =( Second option to it was only walk around and take pictures. Lesson learnt was never to go Langkawi during raining season. I think i'm coming back for this! Anyone wanna join me? And i have no idea why my leg got cut. I didn't even notice it was bleeding. Ish~ Now the scar is still on my leg!!! I dunno how to get rid of it. Emo~

Animal Farm : Haha! Don't ask me why i went there. It was right beside the cable car counter so i sort of like pass by.......... I think the only animal inside is deer. Deers. Few of them. Such a pity that they have to stay at low cost farm like this. Why no authorities do something about it. Grr~ Btw, ignore my friend who tried so hard talking to the deer. She tried talking to a cat yesterday night too =p

Langkawi Oriental Village : You have to pass through this village before getting to the cable car counter. Nothing spectacular to see here besides the lake in the middle and the red bridge for photo taking. Some village houses around with souvenirs on sales. Just wished the rain would stop!! So unsatisfied lo without going up to the suspension bridge!

Royal Langkawi Yacht Club : Another tourist attraction to go to but once we reached there... HEAVY RAIN with mild typhoon. Almost got blown away.... Haha! We couldn't go any nearer because we don't have any umbrella with us. Hmmph.

The Loaf Langkawi : First ever branch that are open in our country. But i prefer the one in Bangsar or Subang Jaya because not much choices of bread here. Even their menu is few items less compared to the ones i tried in other branches. I would suggest you guys to try their omelet and skip the french toast. The rest of the buns is worth a try and love the brownies! =)

Langkawi Cement Factory : Hahaha... just drove pass! Not allowed to enter.

Galeria Perdana : The reason why we came here was only because we need someplace INDOOR. And i'm really amaze how huge this place is and damn alot of artifacts inside. Coming from our 4th prime minister himself and gifts from all over the world. RM5 for the entrance fee and no photography allowed. But manage to take some secretly. Lol~ The design of the ceilings are really beautiful. Each hall having different designs and definitely well maintained. Tax payer money? I hope not.

Pantai Cenang : Finally beach! But look at the pictures, u realised how strong is the wind and the sea is so rough. Omg! Despite having to put great effort in rearrange and restyle our messy hair, we had a great time there..... gazing at the sunset accompanied with laughter from tourists surrounding us. We hung out here until our tummy calling us for dinner!

Orkid Ria Seafood Restaurant : OMG! I will never forget my experience here. This restaurant was so crowded that i think if they double the seats capacity still won't be enough. We heard that this is where u can get awesome-powsome seafood and true enough, not disappointed at all. Just look at the queue and u will know why. A must try here, BUTTER TIGER PRAWN. The uncle told us that small is just like 100g and we chose medium size because non of us have any idea how big is 100g. Ya, look what we ended up with. GIGANTIC PRAWNS. All of us got a shock when the prawns was served! Still got 4 other extra dishes to stuff in. Gosh~ The price here can be considered reasonable (if you don't order tiger prawns). Ahhhh! But its really delicious!!! Definitely worth the price la. Ouch!

Thanks to the long wait for the dinner, we have to rush all the way to the airport to catch our flight. We thought we arrived just on time but damn! Flight delayed. !@#$#%$^)&*@$!~ Geik sei. That's so much about the trip.

p/s : New semester starts tomorrow! Oh no. So not ready. But can't wait to see all my loves. <3

Xoxo.
